Team news: Who's fit for Middlesbrough clash?

Updates on Dean Moxey and Mark Davies ahead of midweek Macron clash

Heading into the midweek Sky Bet Championship clash against Middlesbrough at Macron Stadium Bolton’s main injury issue surrounds the fitness of Dean Moxey.

The left-back hobbled off with a knock to the foot on the opening day at Watford and has since missed out on the matchday squad for back-to-back home games against Bury and Nottingham Forest.

“Dean has trained today (Monday),” Dougie Freedman explained in his pre-match press conference. “We’ll assess him in the morning and he’ll be touch and go right up until kick off on Tuesday night.”

The manager also confirmed that a toe injury will continue to keep Mark Davies out of action, though the midfielder is expected back in first team action in the coming weeks.

Marc Tierney and Sanmi Odelusi are the only other absentees, as they continue their rehabilitation from their respective injuries.
