Macron donate warm clothing to Urban Outreach

Wanderers' kit manufacturers present charity with much-needed warm clothing for local homeless people

Bolton Wanderers’ kit manufacturers Macron recently donated 150 pieces of warm clothing to local charity Urban Outreach at the club’s Silent Night Carol Service.

The charity was chosen as Wanderers’ local charity of the year last year, having worked with vulnerable people in Bolton for more than two decades.

Best known for its Winter Watch programme, Urban Outreach looks look after some of the most marginalised people in the town, putting together boxes of Christmas packages so that homeless people can be fed on Christmas Day.

“It is brilliant that Macron are supporting them and getting them warm clothing as well,” said Club Chaplain Phil Mason. “There were 150 pieces sent to them from Macron and Urban Outreach are absolutely delighted with that.”

Urban Outreach also has projects which find accommodation and support homeless people, rehabilitate both male and female ex-offenders, support families with multiple problems and work with children and young people who go missing from home.
