Rob Hall and Darren Pratley surprise young recovering supporter

Duo pay special visit to local lad Jon, aged 13, who was recently seriously injured in a road traffic accident

Darren Pratley and Rob Hall paid a surprise visit to local youngster Jon Anderson, who was recently involved in a road traffic accident.

Jon, aged 13 from Great Lever, was seriously injured on his way to the Bolton Christmas lights switch on in the town centre almost two weeks ago.

He was rushed to the Manchester Infirmary for treatment on a serious leg injury and as a result spent his 13th birthday under close medical supervision.

And upon hearing of the news Pratley and Hall headed round to his residence to personally deliver a get well card signed by the first team squad and a Bolton Wanderers home shirt.

Also accompanied by the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust ambassador Tony Kelly, Pratley then watched on as Hall tackled Jon on FIFA15 - Hall running out a narrow 3-2 victor.

“It was great seeing how much it meant to Jon and the rest of his family,” Pratley said after the event. “This is the least we can do when these people support us week in, week out.”

Hall added: “It’s a reminder of how we should be very grateful for what we’ve got. We had a really nice and chilled evening and it was cool to meet Jon and play him on FIFA! We all wish him well in his recover.”
