Players support Lifeline lottery

Eight players in attendance at the club's Lifeline lottery party nights over the course of the weekend

A total of eight Bolton Wanderers players showed their support for the club's popular Lifeline lottery over the course of the weekend, attending the annual party nights.

Held in the stadium's Premier Suite on both Saturday and Sunday evening, the players were on hand to thank the members for their support of the Lifeline, before posing for photographs and signing autographs.

Chris Eagles, Darren Pratley, Adam Bogdan and Jermaine Beckford were present on Saturday evening, with Rob Hall, David Wheater, Andre Moritz and Marc Tierney attending on Sunday.

Over the course of the two nights over 1,400 people - members of the Lifeline lottery and their guests - attended.

The two evenings are included as part of the Lifeline membership as a thanks for their support during the year.

For £2 per week members are entered into a weekly draw with cash prizes up to £2,500 up for grabs. This also includes 10 consolation prizes of £50 each week, plus the Lifeline Rollover Draw which reaches a maximum jackpot of £7,500.

All monies raised after prizes and expenses have been paid is used for a wide range of development projects across the club's three sites.

Recent lottery-funded projects, including Lifeline, have involved the installation of under-soil heating at the club's Euxton training facility, a donation towards the laying of bricks at the Nat Lofthouse statue and the setting up of the software for the direct debit payment scheme for season tickets.

“Having heard about the history behind the Lifeline lottery, it’s only right that we came down to thank the members for their support,” Beckford said after the event.

“It was a nice feeling and an enjoyable evening. The boys are grateful for all of the hard work and support.”

Promotions manager Andrew Dean added: “We had two great nights. We couldn’t do all that we do without the fantastic support of all of our Lifeline members.

“We’ve also had great support from the Chairman and Manager, and it was nice for the players to come along and say thank you to the members.”
