Chung-Yong Lee named Korea vice captain for World Cup

Bolton winger named second in command ahead of upcoming tournament

Chung-Yong Lee has been named vice captain for Korea Republic’s upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign in Brazil.

The winger, set to represent his nation is a second successive FIFA World Cup finals, had previously worn the armband over a selection of recent qualification and friendly matches.

However head coach Myung-Bo Hong has handed the armband to Mainz midfielder Ja-Cheol Koo, with Lee second in line.

Korea Republic will ramp up their preparations for this summer’s tournament with imminent friendly games against Tunisia and Ghana.
