Bolton Wanderers are saddened to hear of the passing of club legend Roy Hartle.
The 83-year-old passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in a local nursing home after a long battle with illness.
Roy, who regularly attended games at Macron Stadium until recently, featured 499 times for the club between 1952 and 1966.
He was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame and was a member of the Whites’ 1958 FA Cup Final winning team.
