Community Trust visit Blesma care centre

The Trust visited The Limbless Veterans in their centre in Blackpool last week

Bolton Wanderers Community Trust paid a visit to Blesma, The Limbless Veterans in their Blackpool centre prior to the Whites’ clash at Bloomfield Road last week.

Club chaplain Phil Mason and a selection of Community Trust staff members made the short trip to the charity’s Blackpool base to meet those who use the facilities and also see first-hand the work which the club are currently helping to aid.

Wanderers recently announced that they had raised £10,000 for the organisation, who are the club’s charity partners for the current campaign – money which has been raised through the sale of limited edition military green third shirts alongside bucket collections prior to September’s visit of Derby County.

Touring the home, Phil Mason said: “It has been a real pleasure to meet the veterans today and our club is delighted to support such a worthwhile charity.”

Fans can still donate to Blesma with a limited number of the third shirts complete with a special presentation box still available to buy from Bolton Central.
