Five players set for international duty

Wanderers quintet in action for respective countries

Lee Chung-Yong, Chris Herd, Medo Kamara, Tim Ream and Conor Wilkinson are all set to represent their respective countries in the upcoming week.

Having spent the past month on loan at Oldham Athletic, Conor Wilkinson is the first Wanderers player set to be in action as the Republic of Ireland U21s take on Norway in Drammen on Thursday 9 October.

Three Whites players are scheduled to play on Friday 10 October with Lee Chung-Yong’s South Korea facing Paraguay in Cheonan, Chris Herd’s Australia taking on the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi and Tim Ream’s United States in action against Ecuador in Connecticut. 

The trio are all in action again four days later on Tuesday 14 October, facing Costa Rica in Seoul, Qatar in Doha and Honduras in Florida respectively.

Finally, ahead of next year’s African Cup of Nations finals, Medo Kamara is set to be involved in Sierra Leone’s two crucial qualifiers against Cameroon. Both taking place in Yaounde, the two sides first clash on Saturday 11 October, before facing off again on Wednesday 15 October.
