Loan Watch: Trio complete 90 minutes

Four players currently plying their trade away from BL6 in action

As Wanderers let two more players leave Macron Stadium on loan last week, one of them made a debut for his temporary club as four of the Whites’ six loanees featured for their respective clubs.

Alex Baptiste came on as a substitute as ten-man Blackburn Rovers came from behind to draw 1-1 against Ipswich Town.

After Matthew Kilgallon received his marching orders just after the hour-mark, Baptiste was introduced to the action moments later having seen Rovers fall behind to a Dave McGoldrick free-kick.

However, Blackburn equalised with a set-piece of their own in stoppage time as Ben Marshall rescued a point for them at Portman Road.

Keith Andrews was not involved in Watford’s 3-0 victory away at Sheffield Wednesday.

In League Two, Georg Iliev made his Carlisle United debut against Plymouth Argyle, who themselves had Andy Kellett on the bench.

With Hayden White also in the Cumbrians’ starting XI, the duo completed the full 90 minutes but could do nothing to stop Plymouth clinching a 1-0 victory.

Defender Joe Riley had better fortune, completing the full 90 minutes as Oxford United triumphed 2-0 at home to Tranmere Rovers.
