Owen Garvan joins Wanderers on loan

Midfielder reunites with Dougie Freedman at Macron Stadium

Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Owen Garvan on a three-month loan deal.

A former Republic of Ireland U21s international, the 26-year-old helped Palace win promotion to the Premier League in 2013, playing 84 minutes of their Play-Off Final victory over Watford at Wembley.

Heading straight into first team squad for this weekend’s clash with Sheffield Wednesday, Garvan will be eligible to play in all of the Whites’ Championship fixtures for the duration of the deal.

However, the midfielder is ineligible to feature in the Capital One Cup for Bolton, having come off the bench in Palace’s 3-0 victory over Walsall in the second round.

He has been handed the number 19 shirt for the duration of his stay at BL6.
