Team news: Kevin McNaughton to return for Derby visit?

Latest team news update ahead of the weekend's visit of Derby County

Having missed the last month of action through a combination of injury and illness, Kevin McNaughton could be set to return to the starting line-up for the weekend’s visit of Derby County.

The on-loan full-back last featured for Bolton on August 19 against Middlesbrough, with the manager confirming his full recovery from a recent illness at his pre-match press conference.

Mark Davies is another player to have recently been struck down by illness and missed the midweek game against Chelsea, but is expected to be involved for the visit of the Rams.

Chris Herd, debutant at Chelsea in the League Cup, could make his home bow whilst Andrew Lonergan will continue in goal.

Fellow loanee Owen Garvan is back and available for selection having sat out Wednesday’s match at Stamford Bridge after being cup tied.

David Wheater (back), Liam Trotter (hamstring) and Adam Bogdan (finger) will all definitely miss the game.

Marc Tierney (leg) and Sanmi Odelusi (knee) both continue to step up their respective rehabilitation programmes.

Tickets for the game are still available for Bolton fans to buy. CLICK HERE for more information and to buy online.
