Loan watch: Jermaine Beckford and Jay Spearing on scoresheet

Rob Holding also made his professional debut for Bury as eight on-loan Whites feature for respective sides

Jermaine Beckford and Jay Spearing were both on the scoresheet for their respective loan sides during the first half of Easter Weekend.

Completing 90 minutes alongside fellow Bolton loanee Alex Baptiste, Spearing slid in to score Blackburn Rovers’ third goal as they beat Leeds United 3-0 at Elland Road on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Beckford beat Josh Lillis from an acute angle at Deepdale to score the winner for Preston North End in their 1-0 victory over Rochdale, before being substituted in the 63rd minute.

Elsewhere in League One, Luke Woodland completed 72 minutes for Oldham Athletic before being substituted because of injury, with fellow Bolton loanee Conor Wilkinson coming on in his place, as they drew 1-1 at home to league leaders Bristol City.

Rob Hall was an unused substitute for MK Dons as they clinched a 3-0 away victory against Swindon Town.

In League Two, Rob Holding came off the bench for Bury in the 79th minute to make his professional debut as they beat Cambridge United 2-0 away from home.

Tom Eaves also featured for the Shakers, picking up a booking before being substituted just short of the hour-mark.

Meanwhile in the Conference, Glenn Matthews was a 58th minute substitute for AFC Telford United as their relegation from the division was confirmed by a 1-1 home draw against Kidderminster Harriers.
