U21s: Middlesbrough preview

A look ahead to the Under-21s’ away clash with Middlesbrough

Bolton Wanderers Under-21s face Middlesbrough at Hartlepool United’s Victoria Park on Tuesday night, looking to bounce back from last week’s last-minute defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Kicking-off at 7pm, the Whites sit eighth in the table having drawn four of their last seven league matches.

In contrast, Middlesbrough are the current league-leaders having won 11 of their last 13 games in all competitions, with the Teesiders knowing another victory will secure their promotion to Division One.

Eidur Gudjohnsen made his first appearance in a Bolton shirt in 2000, having re-joined the Trotters initially on trial, the last time the two sides clashed at the Leyland County Ground in December.

Liam Trotter opened the scoring for the Whites as they dominated proceedings that day, only to fall to a last-minute defeat.

There will be updates throughout the match via the club’s Twitter account @OfficialBWFC, with a full match report available at www.bwfc.co.uk following the game.
