Important Liverpool travel information

Key information affecting public transport ahead of Wanderers' upcoming FA Cup fourth round replay

Bolton Wanderers would like to make supporters aware of the following travel information which could affect supporters’ journeys to and from Macron Stadium ahead of the club’s upcoming home match against Liverpool.

All Buses

Due to tonight's match kicking-off at 7:45pm, all buses will run 15 minutes earlier than normally scheduled.

Bus route 13

Service 13 will have to be re-routed slightly to accommodate National Rail Bridge repairs in Adlington for the foreseeable future:

Instead of taking Chorley Road into upper Adlington from Skew Bridge, the bus will use Westhoughton Road, take a left up Railway Road, turn right back onto Bolton Road and carry on with its original route from there.

Passengers along Chorley Road in Heath Charnock and Adlington will either have to make their way to the Elephant and Castle pub bus stop or walk down to Westhoughton Road.

Trains from Horwich Parkway

Northern Rail is advising all football fans planning on using the train to travel to Wanderers’ FA Cup fourth round replay against Liverpool on Wednesday 4 February that there will be no trains from Horwich Parkway after 21.30.

This is due to electrification work by Network Rail.

Fans should find alternative means of transport and use supporters’ coaches where available.
