Dev Squad: Man United preview

1 March 2015

A look ahead to Development Squad’s cup clash with Manchester United

Wanderers’ Development Squad face Manchester United in their re-arranged Manchester FA Senior Cup semi-final on Monday night at the County Ground, Leyland.

Originally scheduled to take place in January, the original tie was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The Whites’ youngsters have lost just two of their last eight matches in all competitions, while they beat Oldham Athletic 4-2 in the previous round of the Senior Cup back in September, courtesy of goals from Conor Wilkinson, Georg Iliev, Rob Hall and Zach Clough.

Visitors United have won the competition in each of the last four seasons, while they currently top the Barclays U21 Premier League Division One League Table having lost just three times all season.

The winner of the tie will progress to face Manchester City in the final.

Kick-off is at 7pm with tickets costing £3 for adults, £1 for concessions and free to season ticket holders.

There will be updates throughout the game via the club’s Twitter account @OfficialBWFC, with a full match report available at www.bwfc.co.uk following the game.
