Loan watch: Alex Baptiste helps Blackburn earn Liverpool FA Cup replay

Sanmi Odelusi also on scoresheet for Coventry City as five on-loan Whites feature for respective clubs.

Alex Baptiste completed the full 90 minutes for Blackburn Rovers on Sunday as they fought out a 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The defender was unlucky not to win the tie for Gary Bowyer’s side early in the second half, rising highest to connect with Craig Conway’s cross only to see Simon Mignolet produce a fingertip save to keep out his header which looked destined for the top corner.

With both sides now in Monday night's semi-final draw, they will contest the replay at Ewood Park in early April.

In League One, Sanmi Odelusi came off the bench to score in Tony Mowbray’s first game in charge of Coventry City, but it was not enough to prevent them from falling to a 3-2 defeat at home to Port Vale.

Joining the action in place of Adam Barton just after the hour-mark, the forward fired past Chris Neal to level the scores with 20 minutes left on the clock.

However, Michael O’Connor secured the points for Port Vale soon after, firing his side ahead with a curling free-kick.

Elsewhere in the division, Conor Wilkinson came off the bench to play 25 minutes as Oldham Athletic fell to a last-minute 2-1 defeat away at Yeovil Town.

Jermaine Beckford was also in substitute action for Preston North End, joining the action for the final five minutes as they claimed a 2-0 victory away at promotion rivals MK Dons.

Keith Andrews was an unused substitute for MK Dons in the same game.

Meanwhile in Israel, Medo Kamara completed the full 90 minutes for Maccabi Haifa as they clinched a late 1-0 victory away at second-placed Ironi Kiryat Shmona.
