Tony Kelly helps switch on Middlebrook's Christmas lights

Kelly present alongside former Coronation Street actor to switch on festive lights

Wanderers’ Community Ambassador Tony Kelly helped to switch on Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park’s Christmas lights last weekend.

The former Bolton midfielder was present on stage for the annual event which also saw panto star and ex-Coronation Street actor Graeme Hawley alongside Santa and his elves mark the occasion.

And despite the rain, families from across the town turned out to meet both Kelly and Rawley who were accompanied by Lofty Junior, Elsa and Anna from Frozen and Spiderman.

Rawley’s inclusion in the event falls in line with his involvement in the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime set to be held by Bolton Whites Hotel over the course of the festive period.

Having played John Stape on the cobbles for four years, his latest role sees him become Baron Vontightwad in the popular show.
