Tyson Fury visits Institute of Sport

Heavyweight boxer takes part in a special question and answer session

The Bolton Wanderers Institute of Sport student received a special visit from heavyweight box Tyson Fury earlier this week.

In preparation for his world heavyweight title fight against Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko, Fury is training in and around Macron Stadium and Bolton Whites Hotel.

And after a morning training session which took place on one of the concourses inside Macron Stadium, Fury called in at the Institute of Sport’s classrooms to meet and greet students on the International Football Studies programme.

Fury also answered a selection of questions from the students, speaking about his history in boxing to talking about the sacrifices he has had to make in his career to date.

“I think it’s very important to come out into the local community,” Fury told bwfc.co.uk after the event. “It’s great to see what’s going on and meet students from all over the world.

“I was able to give them a bit of advice and information and they came back with some very good questions.”
