Zach Clough shortlisted for NWFA Rising Star of the Year award

Ex-Wanderer Tim Ream also shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year award with winners to be announced on Monday 16 November

Zach Clough has been shortlisted for the Mob Sport Rising Star of the Year award at the 2015 MBNA Northwest Football Awards.

Fresh from signing a new contract extension with Bolton earlier this month, the forward is one of six players shortlisted for the accolade, with the winner set to be announced at the awards ceremony at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford on Monday 16 November.

Clough joins Manchester City’s Angelino, Manchester United’s Axel Tuanzebe, Preston North End’s Daniel Johnson, Chester’s Ben Heneghan and Accrington Stanley’s Josh Windass in the category.

Ex-Wanderer Tim Ream has also made the shortlist for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year award.

Bolton’s Player of the year in 2014 and 2015, the American international faces competition from Blackburn Rovers’ Marcus Olsson and Wigan Athletic’s Jason Pearce.
