Liam Feeney and Kaiyne Woolery visit Cherry Tree Primary School

First team duo take time out to visit to local primary school

Liam Feeney and Kaiyne Woolery took time out of their schedules after training last Thursday afternoon to visit a local primary school.

Making the journey to Cherry Tree Primary School in Farnworth, the pair got involved with their Year Three PE classes, enjoying a variety of games including tag alongside helping the youngsters improve their catching skills.

Following the conclusion of the session, Feeney and Woolery then paid visits to individual classes to answer questions from the pupils.

Speaking following the visit, Paul Makinson of the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust said, “At the Trust, we are dedicated to providing quality experiences for the wider communities of Bolton.

“For the children at The Orchards Foundation, Thursday was certainly an experience they won’t forget as Kaiyne and Liam attended and showed their support to the work BWCT staff are currently doing within primary schools right across Bolton.”

He continued: “To see the players join in with the session was brilliant - you could see on the children’s faces just how much this meant to them.

“The guys even took the time to walk around the school afterwards which was appreciated by all involved. The afternoon was great and I’m sure Wanderers will have a few new supporters off the back of their visit.”
