Club and hotel in contention for two accolades at the Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2016 at Ricoh Arena
Stadium Experience is pleased to announce that Bolton Wanderers Football Club and Bolton Whites Hotel's matchday hospitality, in conjunction with on-site caterers Heathcote & Co, has been nominated in the Matchday Hospitality - Medium Stadium and Overall Matchday Hospitality categories in the Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2016.
The awards, sponsored by Heineken, will take place at the Ricoh Arena, home to Premiership Rugby Club Wasps and Coventry City Football Club on Thursday 2 June 2016.
Around 350 guests will experience a fine dining four course menu, awards ceremony, followed by DJ and Las Vegas themed after party onsite at the Grosvenor Casino Coventry until 4am.
The prestigious event aims to recognise the efforts and dedication shown by the catering, conference and events teams at every football and rugby stadium across the UK. There will be a total of 11 different award categories presented on the evening, including Media Choice Award, Non-Matchday Mystery Shopper Award, Best Sales or Marketing Initiative Award and Directors Choice Award.
Bolton Wanderers and Bolton Whites Hotel are nominated in the Matchday Hospitality Award - Medium Stadium (1,001-2,000 hospitality seats) and Overall Matchday Hospitality Award, with the latter award pitching all sized clubs against each other to announce an overall winning UK stadium.
Bolton Whites Hotel general manager Suzanne Speak said: "Bolton Whites Hotel is fully integrated into the Macron stadium and this award nomination is testament to the great team work carried out by all off the pitch. Matchdays are a key driver for us and to be given the nod that we are doing things right by a panel of esteemed judges who visited us as undercover guests is a great honour.
"With awards of this nature, it's not about ticking boxes on an entry form or impressing judges with a presentation, it's based on real time, real life experience so there literally is nowhere to hide from the judges critiquing everything on the day. We are extremely proud of the team we have and this nomination really goes to the them as they are the ones on the ground delivering what we promise at every match."
