A festive message from the Chairman

Ken Anderson addresses the club's supporters in a special column on bwfc.co.uk

Whilst I was unable to be at the game today, I was fortunate enough to be able to watch it live through live stream.

I thought it was probably our best performance of the season and that everyone was not only up for it, but gave 120% against one of the best teams in the league.

The turnout of 17,062 was incredible and the second biggest of the season. The support and atmosphere was the best I have seen and heard all season not only when we scored but throughout the game. This gives the whole squad a feel good factor and inspires confidence.

There was no way that you could take your eyes off the game and not watch it right up and until the very last minute.

Thank you to each and everyone of you there today , you all played a big  part in getting us over the line , in a huge and difficult match.

On a personal point ,I was really pleased for James Henry ,who has plugged away and trained hard for his chance ,which he took well and thoroughly deserved, for all the hard work he has put it.

We have now sold more season / half season tickets than last year ( in the championship) which just goes to show what a loyal support we have.

We have two wins from the holiday season now and have moved up to second place and now the focus moves on to Monday afternoon and Coventry who are fighting for everything they can get. Now it's all about getting a fresh set of legs out there to try and make it three wins out of three.

I look forward to seeing you all next Saturday for the Crystal Palace game and return of Big Sam.

In the meantime , Happy New Year and enjoy tonight,  the team have given us all a good reason to celebrate.
