Club appeal ahead of Burnden Disaster anniversary

Anyone affected by Burnden Disaster asked to come forward ahead of club's commemorative activities

Bolton Wanderers are appealing for anyone affected by the Burnden Disaster, either directly or in-directly, to get in touch ahead of the club’s commemorative activities to mark its 70th anniversary.

Wednesday 9 March will mark exactly 70 years since the disaster at the club’s former stadium, Burnden Park, during which 33 supporters lost their lives during Bolton’s FA Cup tie with Stoke City.

And throughout the week commencing Monday 7 March the club will be conducting a number of commemorative activities, including a special memorial service, details of which will be announced in due course.
