Loan watch: Duo suffer midweek defeats

Rob Hall and Oscar Threlkeld were both in action on Tuesday night

Rob Hall and Oscar Threlkeld both suffered defeat with their respective loan sides during the latest round of Football League fixtures.

Taking to the field on Tuesday night, Hall started for MK Dons as they were heavily beaten by promotion-chasing Burnley in the Sky Bet Championship.

The winger completed 74 minutes before being replaced by Jake Forster-Caskey as goals from Joey Barton, Sam Vokes, Andre Gray, Matthew Lowton and George Boyd as Dons fell to a 5-0 loss at Stadium:mk.

Meanwhile in Sky Bet League Two, Oscar Threlkeld completed 64 minutes for Plymouth Argyle as they lost 2-1 at home in their top-of-the-table clash with Northampton Town.

Having fallen behind to goals in each half from James and Marc Richards, the midfielder was replaced by Craig Tanner as the Pilgrims looked to forge a comeback.

But despite former Wanderer Gregg Wylde halving the deficit late on, they were unable to find an even later equaliser.

Despite the loss, Plymouth remain top of the table ahead of Northampton on goal difference.
