U18s: Sheffield United 6-0 Bolton

Late collapse sees young Whites fall to heavy defeat

A late collapse saw Bolton Wanderers Under-18s fall to a convincing 6-0 defeat away at Sheffield United on Saturday.

Returning to the field for the first time in over a month, the young Whites were understandably a little rusty and found themselves 2-0 down at the break.

Fighting back admirably in the second half, individual errors cost Bolton two goals in quick succession shortly after the 70th minute, before a further two goals late on concluded the scoring.

After the game, Under-18s coach David Lee told bwfc.co.uk; "The players have to learn to deal with their own individual errors better otherwise they won't play to the levels and standards required.

"One positive was Dennis Polittic coming on in the second half. He's an Under-16s player so it was good to give him some experience at a higher level."

TEAM

Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Everest, Lonsdale, Grivosti, Brockbank, Earing, Griffiths, White (Marsh 70), Likoy-Elumba, McKenna (Abdo 65), Pearson (Pollitic 45).
