Midfielder completes move to Macron Stadium on a free transfer

Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of Chris Taylor on a free transfer.

Most recently on the books of Blackburn Rovers, the midfielder moves to Macron Stadium on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old started his career with his boyhood club Oldham Athletic, with highlights from his time at Boundary Park including helping the Latics qualify for the League One play-offs in 2007 and being named in the PFA Team of the Year in 2009.

A potent attacking threat from midfield having registered double-figures in both 2008/09 and 2010/11, he made the step up to the Sky Bet Championship with Millwall in 2012, and was a member of the Lions side that reached the FA Cup semi-finals in his solitary campaign with the club.

Signing for Blackburn in 2013, Taylor spent the end of last season on loan with former club Millwall and completed the full 90 minutes in their Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final defeat to Barnsley.
