Academy graduate features in the Shakers' penalty shootout defeat to Stoke City
Tom Walker completed the full 90 minutes for Bury as they lost on penalties away at Stoke City in their final Checkatrade Trophy group game on Tuesday night.
Completing the full 90 minutes, the academy graduate put in a lively performance as George Miller's opener for the Shakers was cancelled out by Peter Crouch's late equaliser.
Needing a penalty shootout to split the sides, Stoke won 4-3 on spotkicks to claim the bonus point.
The result leaves Bury sitting second in Northern Group C, needing Morecambe to at least lose on penalties to Bradford City for the Shakers to progress in the competition.
