On-loan defender and Community Ambassador pay a special visit to the Deane based school
Defender Andrew Taylor and Community Ambassador Tony Kelly visited St Mary's Primary School on Monday afternoon to be quizzed by a selection of their Year 6 pupils.Lead by teacher Adnan Aljilani, a Sports Journalism club was formed at the start of the school year for youngsters who are interested in both writing and sport.
And in line with their studies, Wanderers' on-loan full-back and Kelly made a special visit to the school earlier this week to be the subject of their very first press conference.
Asking questions about the pair's careers and also on topics prominent in the game at present, the youngsters also got their books signed by the duo following the conclusion of the session.
Speaking after the visit, Taylor said, "I was massively impressed with the children and some of the questions they asked were very well thought out.
"I'm sure in the years to come, we'll have a couple of talented sports journalists from this class out there working in sport."
