Jason McAteer will be signing copies of his new autobiography in Bolton Central between 1pm and 2pm on Saturday
Wanderers legend and former Republic of Ireland international Jason McAteer will make a special visit to Bolton Central on Saturday 15 October to sign copies of his brand new autobiography.
'Blood, Sweat & Jason McAteer' is the story of the midfielder’s career which saw him make his professional debut at Burnden Park before going on to play for Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland and Tranmere Rovers.
McAteer will be present at Bolton Central between 1pm and 2pm ahead of Wanderers’ home Sky Bet League One clash with Oldham Athletic to sign copies of his book which supporters will be available to purchase.
Speaking to Trotters, the official matchday programme, he said: “I was a bit of a latecomer to the professional game as I was 20 when I moved to Bolton, so I guess all eyes were on me a little in terms of proving myself.
“There were a lot of Scousers at the football club at the time too like Andy Roscoe, Darren Oliver, Alan Stubbs and Tony Kelly, so it just felt like home from the outset. There was always a lift from Liverpool going begging too!
“When I got my opportunity with Bruce (Rioch) though, it was one that I knew I had to take with both hands and there was a lot of hard work put into me by Bolton Wanderers.”
