U18s: Coventry City 1-1 Bolton Wanderers

Youngsters continue their fine form inside the opening weeks of the season with a draw against their Ricoh Arena counterparts

Wanderers’ Under-18s continued own unbeaten start to the campaign with a 1-1 draw away at Coventry on Saturday morning.

The club’s youngsters started well in the game, with Cameron Moore hitting the bar from the edge of the box before they proceeded to go a goal up through Max Broughton.

Heading home a Ryan White free-kick, it was justly deserved for the Trotters but the Sky Blues did pull level just before half time.

After the restart, Bolton found themselves under pressure with goalkeeper Jake Turner forced to make two excellent saves to keep the scores level.

At the final whistle however, they managed to secure a share of the spoils.

Speaking following the game, coach Nicky Spooner said, “I was really pleased with the lads’ attitude to get a result and also to remain unbeaten.

“We finished the game with three Under-16 players in the back four too, so that’s a massive credit to the boys.”
