Manager in the running for the monthly accolade
Manager Phil Parkinson has been nominated for Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award for March.
An accolade which he has already won twice this season, the winner of the gong will be revealed at 6am on Friday 7 April.
The complete list of nominees meanwhile is as follows:
Phil Brown (Southend United)
Talk about perfect timing. Brown has maintained trust and confidence in his improving team all season and March was the month in which Southend climbed into the play-off places with a haul of 10 points from five games.
Stuart McCall (Bradford City)
Bradford rediscovered the winning habit under McCall in March, collecting 10 points from five games to consolidate their spot in the play-off positions. Their manager’s consistency of approach has been mirrored by his players.
Phil Parkinson (Bolton Wanderers)
Patient during his side’s stuttering form in the New Year, he earned his reward for trusting his methods as Bolton erupted for 16 points and 17 goals from six games, which included 4-2 away wins at promotion rivals Fleetwood and Oxford.
Chris Wilder (Sheffield United)
Having led Northampton to promotion last season, Wilder stood on the brink or repeating the feat with Sheffield United after leading them through six swashbuckling March fixtures, garnering 14 points and scoring 15 goals in the process.
