Midfielder wins award after impressing during the month
Jay Spearing has been voted Bolton Wanderers' KIA Player of the Month for January 2017 by the Club's supporters.An ever-present throughout the month, the Whites stand-in skipper also an assist against Swindon Town as he did not miss a minute of Bolton's five matches throughout the month.
Impressing in the heart of midfield, the 28-year-old's performances see him win the award for the third time this season after coming out on top in both August and September.
Supporters voted for the award on Facebook, with the midfielder clinching an emphatic victory ahead of Josh Vela, with James Henry rounding off the top three.
Meanwhile, fan Sherry Kirkham has won hospitality in the Platinum Suite for a game of her choice by voting, where she'll present Spearing with his accolade at an upcoming Trotters home match.
