Preview: Five talking points ahead of AFC Fylde v Bolton Wanderers

As Wanderers return to English soil to take on AFC Fylde in their latest pre-season outing, bwfc.co.uk highlights five talking points ahead of Tuesday’s game.

1. 100% winning run

Wanderers have enjoyed a successful start to pre-season, winning all three of their outings so far.

Opening their 2017/18 campaign preparations with a 3-2 comeback victory away at neighbours Chorley, the Whites followed that up by winning both of their games during their week-long training camp in Scotland as they recorded 2-1 victories over both Arbroath and Dundee.

With Bolton's first half display against the latter particularly eye-catching, manager Phil Parkinson will be hoping for more of the same from his squad on Tuesday night as their preparations continue to heat up ahead of next month's Sky Bet Championship opener.

2. Back on English soil

Following two games north of the border, Tuesday night's trip to Mill Farm sees the Trotters return to English soil and hands another early season opportunity for travelling fans to see their side in action.

167 away fans made the long trip to Dundee on Friday, and with AFC Fylde a lot closer to home, more travelling fans are expected to make the trip to cheer on Wanderers in their latest pre-season outing.

3. Adam Armstrong and Sammy Ameobi

Phil Parkinson has enjoyed a busy few days in the transfer market, bringing Sammy Ameobi back to the club on Friday with Adam Armstrong quickly following in his footsteps when he signed on loan on Monday.

Ameobi put in a lively debut performance against Dundee last week, with the duo both expected to feature against AFC Fylde on Tuesday night as the Whites' pre-season preparations continue.

Adding pace to Bolton's frontline, both players will be out to impress with points to prove ahead of the start of the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

4. No cash turnstiles

Trotters fans travelling to AFC Fylde are advised to purchase their tickets prior to arrival at Mill Farm.

Courtesy of the club's new state-of-the-art ticketing system, away supporters can now buy tickets online, print off at home and go straight to the turnstile on the day! Click HERE to purchase tickets online.

Please note, although tickets will also be available at AFC Fylde from the ticket office, no cash turnstiles will be in operation on the night of the game.
