U18s: Bolton Wanderers 2-4 Hull City

Wanderers' Under-18s fell to disappointing 4-2 defeat at home to Hull City on Saturday morning.

Wanderers started the game in an impressive fashion picking off the visitors passes with ease and attacking with intent.

The good start was rewarded early on when Luca Connell won possession before running at the opposition defence and scoring from distance.

Shortly afterwards, the Whites doubled their lead as Laurence Smith scored an almost identical goal to Connell, finishing expertly from outside the box.

Wanderers should have gone further in front with Brown and Luca Navarro both going close in the first 45, however, the youngsters couldn’t find the back of the opposition net.

Despite an excellent first-half, the Trotters were disappointing following the restart and were instantly pegged back following two quick fire goals.

Wanderers could have regained their advantage with more missed opportunities, however, it was the visitors who took the lead from a corner.

Hull faded to their lead late on to compound further misery in a disappointing second-half performance.
