Voting is now open for Bolton Wanderers' KIA Player of the Month award for March.
Wanderers picked up five points throughout the month to maintain their place outside of the Sky Bet Championship bottom three, with the team’s biggest result coming against promotion-chasing Aston Villa as an excellent team performance was rewarded with all three points.
Opening the month with defeat at the hands of local-rivals Preston North End (1-3), the Whites bounced back with away draws at Reading and Sheffield Wednesday (both 1-1).
Beating Aston Villa (1-0) in front of the Sky cameras at Macron Stadium before the March international break, Bolton then finished the month with a disappointing defeat away at Leeds United (2-1).
Adam Le Fondre top-scored during March with three goals as he scored the winner against Aston Villa, as well as efforts against former club Reading and Leeds United.
The striker also featured in all five of the Trotters' outings throughout the month, while Ben Alnwick and Mark Beevers were also both ever-presents as the duo started every match.
Aaron Wilbraham netted his first goal for the club with a dramatic last-minute equaliser at Sheffield Wednesday to rescue a well-earned point for Wanderers, while Jan Kirchhoff made his Wanderers debut after joining the club on a free transfer in February.
Elsewhere, Filipe Morais claimed two assists during the month, while Sammy Ameobi and Darren Pratley also set up a goal apiece.
