COMMUNITY

As we headed into the month of March, the Whites' first team squad were back out into the community with David Wheater visiting SS Simon and Jude Primary School in Great Lever to help them celebrate World Book Day.

Ahead of the club's annual Community Fixture against Aston Villa meanwhile, Andrew Taylor met with representatives from Bolton at Home to launch their Working Wardrobe initiative to help people into work across the town.

Prior to his title fight at Macron Stadium, Hughie Fury visited the Trotters' Lostock training base and welcomed Zach Clough, Will Buckley, Craig Noone and Andrew Taylor into a special session which saw him put through his paces with the players before giving them a sparring lesson.

Towards the end of the month, Darren Pratley visited Westhoughton High School to speak to their Year Seven class about his career and Mark Howard surprised former ball boy and season ticket holder Edward Gregory who is currently battling a brain tumour.

Finally, Pratley, Adam Le Fondre, David Wheater, Josh Vela, Derik, Buckley and Mark Little all met with their respective player sponsors at a special event and the club's academy scholars made the short journey to Royal Bolton Hospital's children's ward to deliver Easter eggs to the patients in their care.
