Reminder of kit collection for African grassroots football teams

Fans are reminded to bring their old Bolton Wanderers kits to this weekend's game against Walsall in the Emirates FA Cup to support the 'Kits For Africa' campaign.

Overseas Wanderers fan Danny Thomas has launched the initiative to support underprivileged grassroots football teams across the African continent.

Danny is visiting Tanzania in February 2019 and as part of his goodwill mission, he will visit local schools and teams in Arusha, Tanzania to distribute any old, used and unwanted football kit to less privileged individuals.

He would like to ask all fans to kindly donate kit any unwanted kit (shirts/shorts/t-shirts and socks) at any of the club’s January home games:

  • FA Cup Third Round v Walsall – Saturday 5 January
  • West Bromwich Albion – Monday 21 January
  • Reading – Saturday 26 January

Fans can bring any unwanted kit to Bolton Central where it will be stored ahead of its collection on Monday 28 January and shipped to Africa in early February 2019.

Danny would like to pass on his thanks and gratitude to all the fans out there for their support and generosity at this time of year.
