At this difficult time, when we are separated from family and friends, we at the BWDA would like to send our best wishes to our agents, lottery members and supporters and hope that you are all keeping safe and well.
It is a challenging time for everyone, for those working in the NHS and all other front line workers to who we are all eternally grateful, but also to those following government guidelines and staying indoors. It is also a fragile time for many businesses, none more so than Football Clubs, especially those at the lower levels of the Football League.
The loyalty of our lottery agents, lottery members and supporters will be more vital than ever when normal life resumes - and it will resume!
The weekly lottery draws will re-start once it is safe to do so and we will continue to pay out 48 prizes every week, a weekly total of £5,825. A new instant win scratch card will also be launched with a top prize of £1,000, so keep a look out for those in your local shop or from your agent. As always, with your help, the BWDA will continue to support the Football Club as it has for over half a century.
The BWDA have funded some fantastic projects over the years. Most recently it has funded a variety of projects at Lostock Academy including having floodlights installed, providing new gym equipment, erecting the indoor playing facility and upgrading the players changing rooms and showers. The BWDA committee have always supported the importance of the training facilities as an asset for up and rising young talent and also as an incentive to attract experienced professionals to our Club.
But supporters have also always been at the forefront when deciding how lottery cash should be used. Lottery funds purchased the software that enabled the supporters to pay for their season tickets by direct debit, a more affordable method which was taken up by thousands. More recently card payment machines are being rolled out on the concourses to improve the matchday experience.
These are just a few examples. It would not be possible to list everything that the BWDA and its agents and members have achieved over the years.
