Season Ticket Holders Vote For Option A

Bolton Wanderers season ticket holders have voted overwhelmingly in favour of ‘Option A’ for when the Club is permitted to welcome back supporters to a capacity-restricted University of Bolton Stadium when the local region moves into Tier 2.

Season ticket holders were invited to select from one of two options last week to assist the club in planning for their safe return to the stadium.

Over 90% of season ticket holders voted for Option A which the club will now implement.

Option A will see season ticket holders become evenly divided into four ‘Matchday Groups’ (A – D), in the bubbles that they originally purchased their season tickets so that they will be attending with those persons they normally go to the match with (subject to social distancing guidelines).

Each Group will then be assigned a designated fixture for them to attend. This selection process will be random, although there will be some tailoring to maintain ‘bubbles’ and ensure balanced, socially distanced seating plans.

The Rule-of-6 will apply and any subsequent season ticket bubble larger than 6 will be split out and sat close to each other in the same area of the stadium.

Each Matchday Group will be assigned a designated fixture by way of a draw. This process will be repeated so long as Tier 2 COVID-19 regulations remain in force, with each Matchday Group attending one game in every four.

All Lead Clients (purchaser of the season tickets) will, over the next 48 hours, receive email notification of the Matchday Group their booking has been allocated to.

The Board recognises and appreciates the challenges for spectators of attending capacity-restricted matches at the Stadium under new Covid-compliant rules and obligations and is grateful to all those who took part in the vote.

Please note: if the ‘bubble’ doesn’t comply with Tier 2  social distancing guidelines, then the Lead Client must email the ticket office at ticketsales@bwfc.co.uk and seats will be adjusted accordingly.
