Recent Goldline Winner Peter Edge was delighted when he received the news he had won £500 on the Goldline Weekly draw.
He said: “It was completely unexpected when my partner told me I’d won, I had just come home and luckily for the photo I was wearing my BWFC hoodie”
Peter went on to tell us about his support of his beloved Whites and why he decided to support the fund raising arm of the Club,
“To be honest I’d become a little blasé about the club during the 2000’s but following the years following the death of Eddie Davies and the panic of almost going into liquidation I realised that my beloved club may not exist as it had through mine and my father’s years of being supporters. As I took a keener interest I realised how participating in the Goldline could make a real difference”.
Peter has only recently joined the Goldline this being his third season as a member, but he definitely made the right decision, we asked him what he plans to do with his winnings,
“My partner and I plan to give some of the money to charity and the rest will go to our holiday next week”. What a lovely gesture!
Finally we asked Peter what he would say to anyone thinking of supporting the Club in this way to which he replied,
“If you can afford it and you want to make a difference to your club then I can’t think of a better way to financially help oh and you might just win!
For me personally and as an added bonus I got to tell partner’s father Bernard Dyson (we have season tickets next to each other and he has been supporting lifeline for years and not been as lucky) that I’d got the cheque, his reply was priceless, you’re buying the pasties - Carrs of course!”
