Bolton Council is proud to announce a civic reception in honour of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, celebrating their promotion to the Championship.
The special event will take place in Victoria Square outside Bolton Town Hall at 6pm on Monday 25 May, bringing together players, club officials, invited guests and supporters to recognise the club’s outstanding achievement and its importance to the borough.

The Mayor of Bolton will formally welcome the team, with a celebration event for the fans in Victoria Square.
Cllr Mohammed Iqbal, the Mayor of Bolton, said
“This is a fantastic achievement for Bolton Wanderers and a moment of real pride for our town.
“Football plays a vital role in bringing our communities together, and the club’s success this season has lifted spirits across Bolton.
“I was there myself to see first hand what it means for the club and fans – in fact, I have hardly stopped celebrating since Wembley.
“It is an honour to host this civic reception and to celebrate alongside the players, staff and, most importantly, the fans who have supported the team every step of the way.”
Sharon Brittan, Chairman of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, said:
“We are incredibly proud to have secured promotion and to bring this success back to Bolton.
“The support from the town and our fans has been unwavering, and this achievement belongs to everyone connected to the club.
“We are grateful to Bolton Council for hosting this civic reception and look forward to celebrating together with the community.”
The event will include a public-facing element in the town centre, giving supporters the chance to share in the celebrations and show their appreciation for the team.
