Derik Osede joined Bolton Wanderers from Real Madrid on a permanent basis in the summer of 2015.
The Spaniard had previously spent a total of 13 years at Real Madrid, progressing through the famous La Fabrica youth setup to represent the club’s B and C teams.
He also enjoyed success on the international front with Spain, winning the UEFA European Under-19 Championship title in 2012 playing alongside the likes of Gerard Deulofeu and Paco Alcacer.
After his contract at Real Madrid expired in the summer of 2015, Derik decided to leave his hometown to sign for Wanderers in July 2015.
Capable of playing both centre-back and central midfield, he impressed during pre-season for the Whites only for injury to delay his Bolton debut.
Returning to make his maiden appearance against Wolves in September 2015, Derik registered 23 appearances over the course of the campaign - catching the eye during the final stages of the season under interim manager Jimmy Phillips.
