A year to the day since leaving the club, Wanderers fan-favourite Zach Clough re-joined the Whites on loan until the end of the season from Nottingham Forest in January 2018.

Returning to Macron Stadium the 22-year-old became the second Forest player to sign for Bolton on Deadline Day after team-mate Tyler Walker.

The forward needs no introduction to the Bolton fans after making a welcome return to BL6, having been on the books of the club since the age of eight after rising up through the academy ranks.

The forward marked his senior Trotters debut with the winning goal against local-rivals Wigan Athletic in January 2015, going on to score 22 times from 68 appearances in all competitions during his initial spell with the club.

Handed his second Wanderers debut as a substitute against Bristol City, Clough was given a hero's welcome from the Whites home crowd and will be looking to build on the success of his first stint at Macron Stadium.
