Manager Dougie Freedman was pleased with the way his side conducted themselves at Bristol City on Saturday.
After a committed and whole hearted display, boss Freedman shared his thoughts after their eighth win in ten league matches.
“It was a great effort today, we deserved all three points. We had a tremendous backing, more than 1,200 supporters made the trip and that is always a boost when you have that level of support and hopefully they will enjoy their trip back to Bolton.
“We started very well, we scored a good goal and we were playing good football right across the team. From the front to the back we defended well and we carried that threat going forward.
“Sean O’Driscoll is a good coach and in the second half he opened the game up, so we went with the flow and we responded to that.
“That meant it was end to end with both sides creating goal scoring opportunities. Bristol City had nothing to lose because of the position they are and they played with a real freedom.
“They threw everything at us, sent long balls up field in behind us but through all of that we stood firm and stood up to the task. We showed great character and a real desire to scoring the winning goal.
“We are on a good run and we have to keep that going. I have a lot of faith and trust in this group of players because of their resilience and commitment to the cause.
“The matches are coming thick and fast and we like that; we are back into work ahead of the away game at Leicester City.”
