Under-21s: Reading 1-2 Wanderers

Adam Blakeman and Tom Youngs on target in impressive away win

Goals either side of half time helped Wanderers’ under-21 side to an impressive victory over table-topping Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Monday afternoon.

Adam Blakeman’s fine strike from 25 yards in the run up to the interval was followed by a well-worked Tom Youngs effort immediately after the restart.

And despite seeing their lead halved midway through the second period and being reduced to ten men following the dismissal of James Kelly, Jamie Fullarton’s side held strong for an impressive three points.
