Club assumes full control of hotel

Bolton Wanderers are delighted to announce that after reaching an agreement with De Vere Venues, the club have now assumed full control of the on-site hotel.

Since the stadium’s opening in 1997, the hotel, located in the south stand, has been held in a joint venture between the football club and De Vere Venues.

This new agreement will now see the club assume full ownership.

As a result the hotel will now be rebranded as the Bolton Whites Hotel and will run as an independent business under the Bolton Wanderers umbrella.

The change will also see Heathcote & Co, founded by lifelong Bolton fan and two-Michelin star chef Paul Heathcote, provide the catering for all of the hotel and stadia.

Bradley Cooper, chief operating officer of Bolton Wanderers, said: “This move makes sense to all involved. We’ve been able to reach an agreement with De Vere to take sole ownership of the hotel.”

Suzanne Speak, hotel general manager of the Bolton Whites said: “This new venture will allow us to significantly improve our customers’ experiences. Our focus will very much be on service excellence and maximising the potential of this unique venue.”

Paul Heathcote added: “Being a fan of the club this is a dream come true. I look forward to working with the club I have supported since I was a boy.”

Future plans for the business will be announced over the coming weeks.
