Cycling sessions for kids

British Cycling will be bringing the world of cycling to Bolton Wanderers this August with a two day programme including both Bikeability and Go-Ride sessions.

Bikeability is Cycling Proficiency for the 21st century and is designed to give young people the skills and confidence to cycle on today’s challenging roads. All children will learn essential life skills for being safe on roads, whilst also improving their riding skills and health. As well as Bikeability, riders on the course will be able to experience Go –Ride sessions.

Go-Ride is British Cycling’s national development programme for young people and clubs. The programme aims to make the sport of cycling accessible to children of all ages, abilities and social backgrounds. Go-Ride sessions provide a fun introduction to cycling, with exciting games and activities being delivered to help riders increase their cycling skills. Techniques such as balance and coordination, cornering and braking will be covered with the experienced coaches including fun and exciting games and races into the sessions.

The event will run from Tuesday 13 August to Wednesday 14 August 10am-3pm each day.

There will be a mixture of cycling proficiency and Bikeability fun and games each day. There will also be a stadium tour, Lofty the Lion will also be on hand to give out certificates on the final day! Each child will also receive a free goody bag.

This course is available for children aged 7 – 13 and is priced £25 for the 2 day course.
