Manager says he'll give both players every chance to be involved in the weekend's game against QPR
Dougie Freedman has confirmed that Chris Eagles and David Ngog are both touch and go ahead of the weekend’s game against Queens Park Rangers.
Eagles has been out of action since the opening game of season, in which he hobbled off with an ankle injury whilst Ngog is recovery from a bout if illness that sidelined him prior to the recent game at Nottingham Forest.
Both players were involved in light training throughout the week, with the manager confirming he will reassess the situation after Friday’s training session.
“David has done a little bit of running today (Thursday) and we’ll see how he feels throughout the course of tomorrow.” the manager said. “We need to make sure he is fully hydrated and ready to go if things are okay in the run up to the game.
“Chris Eagles has done some very light work today. At this moment we’re looking at a 50-50 chance.
“Right now we’re having a bit of a difficult time in terms of the injuries we’re getting and the teams we’re coming up against.
“I believe Reading, Nottingham Forest and QPR will be right up there come the end of the season, but given our injuries it’s a little difficult to really judge where we are.”
