Freedman happy with business

Manager Dougie Freedman looks ahead to this weekend’s game at neighbours Burnley.

The Whites will make the short journey to Turf Moor for a repeat of the opening game of the 2012/13 campaign.

With the game specially arranged in celebration for the Football League’s 125th Anniversary, as both football clubs are founder members, Freedman described Saturday’s early kick-off as a ‘fantastic occasion.

Speaking ahead of the game, Freedman also explained the decision to allow Marvin Sordell to join Charlton Athletic on loan and his excitement about the prospect of working with new Wanderers recruit Andre Moritz.

“We know the way Sean Dyche’s teams play,” said the boss. “They will be in your face but we are fully prepared for that.

“We know exactly what they are going to try and do and we have to counter act that with what we want to do.

“It is a fantastic occasion for all the early starters of the Football League and this is what football is all about.

“With Marvin going out on loan to Charlton Athletic, it freed up some money to bring in Andre Moritz. He is a signing the fans will enjoy watching.”
