Lee discovers World Cup opponents

Korea Republic placed in Group H alongside Belgium, Russia and Algeria

Chung-Yong Lee and Korea Republic have been handed a favourable draw for next summer’s 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Lee, who twice recently captained his country, saw his nation placed in Group H alongside Belgium, Russia and Algeria in Friday afternoon’s draw in Bahia.

Korea’s opening game will take place against Russia in Cuiaba on June 17, before they then tackle Algeria in Porto Alegre on June 22.

Their final group game will take place on June 26 against Belgium in Sao Paulo.

Elsewhere, Tim Ream and Stuart Holden’s USA side were placed in a tough-looking Group G with Germany, Ghana and Portugal.

England landed up in Group D with Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica.
